Tioga County Rural Economic Area Partnership (REAP), LDC is dedicated to helping communities realize their development goals and is often the silent partner working behind the scenes to encourage volunteer efforts and provide project leaders with technical assistance and funding information.

Ransom Park Master Plan Completion
Facilitated the creation of the Ransom Park Steering Committee and worked with the committee on project implementation.

Rawley Park Renovation
Helped Committee members organize and promote a ‘Community Playground Raising Day’ in to install new playground equipment purchased from grant funds that REAP helped acquire.

Waverly Downtown Our Town In Action
Helped organizational development of the group that has completed a year of activities designed to improve downtown Waverly.

Helped revitalize the Steering Committee and facilitates its meetings, and linked the group to vital resources.

Helped link the village and town with graduate students from the Cornell School of City and Regional Planning who led the two communities through a joint planning process.

Helped form the Newark Valley Main Street group, which assumed leadership of Newark Valley Days and saved the event from being cancelled.

REAP representatives participate in the Riverwalk and Streetscape Steering Committees and supports the North Avenue Gateway Project.

REAP channels grant opportunities to the project and committee members continue fundraising efforts. The entire easement for the property is almost acquired.

Town of Berkshire Beautification Completed
The Berkshire Resident Action Group (BRAG) celebrated the completion of efforts to revitalize the landscape around the library by installing historic lighting, benches and new sidewalks.

Waits Community Church Renovation
Worked with community members to incorporate the project into the REAP Strategic Plan and helped write a grant to repair the historic churches foundation.

Tioga County Sewer and Water Master Plan
Plan was completed and adopted by the County. REAP helped the county secure $25,000 in funding from the Mildred Faulkner Truman Foundation and participated in the steering committee that oversaw plan development.
